Safety
The steel box frame of GAN-RS and the strong X, Y, Z axis as shown above makes a reliable safe cage. This will protect any human cooperating, standing or sitting next to this robot from movements within the X, Y, Z travelling range.
Versatility

The shape of the box will change under special circumstances (i.e: cost consideration). The operator can teach the GAN-RS a new routine to accomodate this.
Some boxes require 3-4 sheets repositioned in a synchronised fashion. With the butterfly mounting machine (customised), the GAN-RS can pull out the lid and base table and move the feeder into the slot. Transitioning only takes 5 minutes
The GAN-RS can be customised to position any type of box. Above one is chunky and heavy.
It comes with angle and distance scanner, so angled item won't be issue.
Small item is also easy to taught.
Reliability & Maintainability
Gantry rail vs arm axis
Pressure from a payload is distributed evenly. Bearing A and B wear at the same rate, and the running gap is distributed evenly.
In a SCARA machine, bearings A and B withstand uneven pressures. This causes imprecise positioning over time.
Moreover, the tolerance of a gantry rail is 10-100 times more than a SCARA machine. The GAN-RS can easily manipulate 100kg.
To change the pulley and bearing assembly of gantry, you need special tools to dismantle, and also to meet demanding accuracy, returning the assembly back to manufacturer is required to achieve interference fit.
To change a worn gantry rail, a technician can finish replacing and calibration after simple video training. It normally takes less than 2 hours at fair spare part cost.
